Happy New Year!

I have become a lazy blogger......that is what happens when I have nothing to do all day I guess. I have been off of work since Christmas Eve, but have to go back tomorrow. This is driving me nuts, why go back on a Friday? I just don't understand the logic, but whatever....I have had many days to lounge and do very little!

I missed my week 13 post, sorry! Baby is the size of a peach they say, a nice sweet juicy peach sounds good right now! I am already in the winter funk, had enough.....yet I know it has only just begun! I want warm weather, sunny days, and fresh fruit! Wegmans is selling strawberries for nearly $5! Yikes, that is just wrong! Santa brought me a ice cream maker attachment for my Kitchen Aid.....and I want to make strawberry ice cream!

We had an OB appointment on Dec 31, we got to hear the baby's heartbeat.....beating nice and strong at 151 bpm. I did buy a doppler from Amazon, it is better than the ones they sell at Babies r Us, but not as good as the Ob's. I have only tried once to find it on my own, but now that I know where the Dr looked.....I can try again.

Our Christmas was good, we received a few baby gifts which was fun! Our NYE was nice and quiet, I made a lasagna and garlic bread for dinner. Yum! I really have not cooked much since becoming pregnant. Poor DJ.....at first it was due to morning sickness and now I am tired and lazy! I am feeling much better these days now that I am in the 2nd trimester. I only get pukey if I don't eat the moment I feel hungry, so I just eat all the time! I have only gained 3 lbs in 4 weeks, so I think I am doing ok!

It is almost time to break down and buy maternity clothes! I have looked at a few store and not loving what I see. I am fine with my long sleeve t shirts that I have, but my pants are getting very uncomfortable! I use the hairband trick and also have the "Bella band". This is like a tube top for your belly that goes over the top of your unbuttoned pants. I don't love it, it shifts about and has to be repositioned every time you use the ladies room!

Again, I am sorry for the lazy blogging! This post is now mumble jumble of the last week of happenings....I will leave you with some furbaby pictures! I wish you all a very happy and healthy 2009! We will for sure have an exciting one!
