Your little embryo has now officially graduated to fetus-hood. Adding to the excitement, a Doppler ultrasound device might be able to pick up the beating heart. With basic physical structures in place and increasingly distinct facial features, baby is kind of starting to look like... well... a baby!
Wow! 9 weeks already! The last few weeks since we found out we were expecting seem to have flown by, however the next 31 weeks feel like they will take forever! Does that make sense? Yeah, probably not! My main hope is that the morning sickness phase ends soon (I could handle nausea, but the throwing up needs to stop). The new trend seems to have me the sickest at night. I feel best about 2am, I wake up and think how good I feel! I am thankful for at least being able to sleep well still. I nap on the couch from about 8 until 10, so very very tired.
My diet is still wonky, I am making sure I get some nutrition by drinking either Carnation Instant Breakfast or Ensure everyday. Yesterday I ate pickles (yes, so cliche), rye boat dip, and Frito's with bean dip.......this of course was after my breakfast of a bagel and one of the drinks above. Friday we hit McDonald's (2 burgers with extra pickles and fries), and then ate at the buffet at Finger lakes race track. Lovely.....but hey something is better than nothing right? I think I may have hit McDonald's again Saturday for a quick burger fix, but who's keeping track?
Our Thanksgiving was very nice! We spent the day at my dads house, I had a good eating day and even had 2 slivers of pie (apple and pumpkin). We have a lot to be thankful for this year, well we always have much to be thankful for.....but just a bit more this year!
DJ was off Thursday and Friday, and again Sunday. We had a nice weekend together. I left work early on Wednesday as the family went out of town, and was told I had today off too! Nice extra long weekend! We started putting up some Christmas decorations, watched some football (I am still wondering what is wrong with Buffalo's offensive coordinator), and just hung out at home in PJs on Sunday.
I have my OB appointment tomorrow and another ultrasound on Thursday, I will post an update after seeing Bitty baby again! I really hope to be able to actually hear Bitty's heartbeat, but seeing it will be fine too!

Hey there! Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I'm so excited you got to see Bitty again! Sorry you're still not feeling well, though. I really do hope it goes away soon and you can sort of get back to feeling somewhat "normal"!
