With bones and cartilage starting to form and vital organs beginning to function, baby is making major progress. Body length will almost double in the next three weeks, and arm joints are now working. (Soon, legs will too.)
A prune? Seriously, yuck! Another site mentioned kumquat......oh well, at least it is only a week. I bet I have one of the cutest prunes ever, better be for as sick as I am still! I did have a couple good days, I was hopeful it was the light at the end of the tunnel....but no such luck. It feels like the longest stomach bug ever, It has been too long since I had a "meal"! I finally broke down and headed to Wal-Mart to get Hungry Man dinners for DJ. Poor guy has been eating sandwiches for dinner since I can't eat, I can't cook either. My go to nutrition has been Ensure, Clementines, Pasta, and OJ......oh and yesterday I grabbed Simply Lemonade. This lemonade tastes just like the fresh squeezed stuff at fairs! YUM!
Last week I had my OB appt, that was pretty routine and boring. It is too early to hear the heartbeat via Doppler, hopefully at the next appt. on 12/31. I did have an ultrasound last Thursday. That was pretty neat, big changes in baby in 2 weeks! It was so amazing to see Bitty wiggling and waving arms and legs.....little heart was beating at 171 bpm! We love you Bitty, keep up the growing!
This past weekend was pretty quiet, we got our Christmas tree on Sunday. We are giving Stella a day to get used to it before we decorate it. She is the only one who is really interested in a "tree" in the living room!
I did buy the nursery bedding already! I found it online, and if I didn't buy it now.... my luck would have it sold out or discontinued when I was ready to buy! We are doing a patriotic nursery, I have picked up a few things over the past year or so. We have a lamp, a mirror in a star shaped frame and a cute wall hanging. We will wait until we know if Bitty is a boy or girl to choose a paint scheme. Here is the crib set.....
I got it on Ebay from a wonderful seller who shipped it super fast! All brand new for our Bitty baby.
I think I better start thinking holidays! I have done some house decorating, but not all. Christmas cards may or may not make it out this year, I will try! Being sick has really put a damper on things, I am so tired and blah. I can't wait until the 2nd trimester when your supposed to feel good again! I want to eat! I also am so thankful for DJ, who is still stepping up and taking care of the house. He does the dishes (not enough to fill the dishwasher), carries the laundry out to the laundry room, vacuums (with a little reminder), and does most of Sabres care (walks and potty/play time). I don't tell him enough, but I do appreciate him!
Have a great week!
