Your fetus currently enjoys a 1:1 ratio between body and head, and has skin so transparent that blood vessels show right through. But, fingers and toes are no longer webbed, and hair follicles, tooth buds and nail beds are forming -- setting up a significantly more attractive future.
A lime is much better than a prune! My little lime (AKA Bitty) decided that momma should eat (for a few days), and eat I did! I had a great eating weekend that came to an abrupt halt Sunday night! Oh well, it was great while it lasted!
My little brother was home this weekend, so we had dinner with him at Famous Daves Saturday night. Yum! I am so happy I could eat, it was delish!
I was feeling so good on Saturday that I did a bunch of shopping! I am a little more prepared for the holidays now, and much less stressed about it. I hope to finish up sometime this week while working. Not too much going on this week, next week I only have to work 2 days! I am on vacation from the 24th until Jan 2. Although I am looking forward to Christmas, more so I am looking forward to my next OB appointment on the 31st! I am so excited to hear Bitty's heartbeat! I have been tossing around the idea of buying or renting a home Doppler, but unsure if I would stress or enjoy looking for and hearing the heartbeat. I have a retroverted uterus (meaning it tips back) which can make it more difficult to hear the HB early on. Otherwise it cause no other issues and usually corrects itself as baby grows.
Last week we decorated our tree. We have since put the play yard enclosure we have (got it for Sabre when he was a pup) around the tree. The cats enjoy knocking the ornaments off and the dog enjoys eating them and the tree. We have lost 2 ornaments so far, and have moved most of them up to the center or higher. They are letting us practice for when Bitty comes! The cats have been so funny, I really think they know something is up. Kind of like when an animal can tell when a storm is coming. Miss Nala is typically our anti social shy girl. She loves attention but on her terms. Usually she runs if you come near or meows when you grab her, if you catch her she loves to be snuggled....so fickle. Sunday Nala was up on the couch with me, talking and rubbing up against my hand. She even layed down on my legs, I don't think she has ever done that in the 1.5 years we have had her. I was in my glory, a little kitty love always makes my day! Oh and by the way.....she did have food in her dish! The kitten on the other hand appears to have an eating problem, she will not stop eating! She is about 7 mos old and over 7lbs. If there is food in the dish, she will eat it. She seems to be addicted, I have started to give her only a few pieces of kibble at a time. 2 dishes are up on a dresser which she could reach if she wanted, but she isn't the smartest girl and doesn't eat from those dishes. Ah, our crew......each one has a very unique personality!
Get shopping.....get wrapping.....and have a great week!

I love your cat stories. My "kitten" who is really 2 and a half but never stopped being a kitten isn't the smartest either. :)
You are just over 2 weeks from your OB appt. And it will go SOOO fast with christmas and everything..
I will say. I sort of regret not getting the home doppler.. They say that once you feel movement, you won't want it as much.. but i still want it! I want to know what she sounds like all the time and hear her little heart beating away.. It never gets old. However, spending the money now with 11 weeks left seems silly.
Yay for feeling better! And I love your story - that's awesome. Kitties are just so funny. And it's cool that you think they know. My kitty loved to eat, too. My vet gave us tips on that, but I forget what it was - wet food maybe? I don't remember! lol
And I say get the doppler - I'd want to hear it all the time!
Oh, and tag - you're it! See my blog for details ;-)
