The nursery is painted!!!!

Sorry (once again) for the delay in updates! It has been over 2 weeks, oops!

I am 26 weeks 2 days along, and I have less than 99 days to go! Holy Moly it is flying by, we are getting very excited to meet our baby boy. As the 3rd trimester quickly approaches, we are very busy getting things done. We hit the outlet mall once again, and got some great bargains. I have agreed to stop shopping until after my shower, his closet is filling up quick with cute little outfits!

We have had the crib up for awhile, it really needed to air out from the factory! It was manufactured in Jan 2009 and the finish was very fresh and smelly! I have been eager to start the real decorating, instead of just collecting things and storing them in his closet. My dad came over last Wednesday to prep the walls with DJ, and came back today to help DJ paint. I absolutely LOVE the colors I picked out! I came home to a perfectly painted room, ready for decorations and in time....my baby (It is still surreal to me, this room is for MY baby......a baby that we have been waiting a long time for!). The 2 pictures below are what we have done so far. The room needs the blinds put up, some curtains, and wall decorations. I have most of it ready and waiting, but DJ convinced me to let the paint dry before decorating......sometimes he does have valid points! hehe

In the bottom pic, you can see my seedlings in front of the window.....they really took off! I think they will be huge by the time they can go in the ground!

Other things that are done......we have signed up for a crash course in birthing! I found a place in East Rochester called Birth Matters that offers a lot of great classes, one of which it the crash course. Instead of 4 week nights of classes, we will take a 7hr course on a Saturday. We (or I rather) are interested in a natural drug free birth, and possibly having a Doula present to assist.
Birth Matters also offers breast feeding classes, Happiest Baby on the Block class, and other classes.
I have also made a prenatal appointment to meet who will most likely be our pediatrician. Those are 2 big things done, things that are taken care of towards the end of pregnancy.......yet seem to have once again come up quick!

Here is my 25 week pic, we didn't take one this week.....I will make sure one gets done next week!

This Saturday I have my 1 hr glucose test.......wish me luck!

Oh wow, I really like the colors and LOVE your furniture? You willing to share where you got it from so I can sneak a peak for myself? lol

And thanks for the reminder on the seedlings - I need to get my butt in gear.

Good luck to the glucose test!
