Not that I am complaining, but wow......it is Wednesday already! I was 18 weeks on Monday, almost half way there! Time is flying by!
I am thinking the 2nd tri energy burst and feeling good is an old wives tale, because I have yet to feel really good! The throwing up is mostly over, but still happens. The heart burn/reflux is killer....but better than puking. I have a nasty cold and cough, which of course is better than puking and reflux! It hurts to cough, and the stupid medicine that is approved doesn't do shit. I also feel very guilty taking anything, I try and limit it and just suck it up. I feel bad taking medicine and drugging up my 1/2 lb baby!
I have started to feel movement! It isn't all the time, but enough to feel the difference between gas and movement! hehe The other night it was a poking feeling in the same spot, maybe feet? I try and sit really still, I even hold my breath.....just trying to feel as much as I can! I know, it won't be long before I start feeling feet in my ribs and complaining about it!
This week baby is the size of a sweet potato!
Your fetus has become amazingly mobile (at least compared to you), passing the hours yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing. And, baby's finally big enough that you'll be able to feel those movements soon.
DJ has worked the last 2 weeks in Buffalo, yuck (no offense to the Buffalo girls, it is just a long daily drive!). The good thing is he has had weekends off and paid mileage! The mileage money will be used to pay off the crib and dresser, yay! We got the call that those are in too! Holy cow, in a couple weeks we will be looking at our crib...in our house! It all still amazes me, I am thinking I won't be convinced that this will be our baby until s/he is born and in my arms! My dad is going to meet us at the furniture store with his truck to pick up the goods, thanks dad! This was he can also help DJ get the dresser in the house. Silly me....I thought the dresser would have to be put together! Nope, it is real furniture......not Sauder! lol We also visited our FAVORITE furniture and appliance store and got a glider and a recliner. Charlotte always has what we want, we have a LOT from there! I wasn't quite sure we wanted to spend a lot on a glider/ottoman, most nesties said......yes, you do want a good one! Sorry WalMart, we decided against your glider and went with one that is comfortable and will last!
In less than 2 weeks we should know the gender of Bitty, and then the registering can begin! I can't say I have a feeling either way of what s/he is. If we go by the old wives tale of heart rate, then maybe a girl? IDK, s/he is always over 150 bpm. We have a boys name, but are stumped on a girls. I decided not to stress over a name until we know if we need one!
I have to get to work......see this is what happens when I don't update on time! My post becomes long winded and rambling!
Enjoy what is left of the week!
